Surabaya, 20 September 2019 – Visit of the Minister of Public Works and transportation of Cambodia, Mr. Sun Chanthol was warmly welcomed by Mr. Budiman Saleh as President Director of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). The meeting with President Director of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) is located at PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) meeting room. During the visit, the Minister of PU and Cambodian transport was accompanied by Deputy minister, CEO of Sihanoukville Autonomous Port Mr. Lou Kim Chhun, as well as first Secretary of the Indonesian Embassy to Cambodia, Mr. Noam Lazuardy.

President Director of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Mr. Budiman Saleh in his speech stated that PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) is a solution provider and is very open to the needs of the Government of Cambodia. On that occasion, the Minister of PU and Transportation of Cambodia expressed interest and interest in Barge Mounted Power Plant (BMPP) products or floating power plant and Tug boat/tugboat due to specifications according to the needs of Cambodia. BMPP will be used for energy diversification, considering that Cambodia has relied on electricity produced by PLTA which often have problems in the dry season. Water discharge that shrinks in the dry season causes a decrease in the production of electricity, in one year the need of Cambodian electricity reaches 2017 Mega Watt. Tug boat will be used for Delta River transportation and port snooze function

At the end of his visit, the Minister of PU and transportation of Cambodia and the group had the opportunity to visit various facilities in PT PAL Indonesia (Persero), the dock of Irian, the Alugoro submarine Dock, the production facilities of the General Engineering Division, Production facility of warship division, production facility of Commerce Ship Division, and the Semarang dock.
