Navy's fifth and sixth missile speedboats enter the Keel Laying stage

Surabaya, Friday 20 December 2019 – The production of two fast-boat missile (KCR) (W000300 & W000301) entered the stage of keel laying or the full installation of the vessel. Seremoni Keel laying was held on Friday, 20 December 2019 at the Assembly Hall of the battleship division of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero). The event was attended by Kapus Alpalhan Baranahan Ministry of Defence Marsma TNI Asfan Jauhari accompanied by President Director of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Budiman Saleh, and witnessed by the officials of the Ministry of Defense RI, TNI AL and the ranks Management of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero).

 In his speech, President director of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) Budiman Saleh expressed his gratitude for the trust given by the Ministry of Defence RI in the construction of the fifth and sixth KCR vessels both the platform and the Sensor system and weapons ( Sewaco). It is also said that the progress of the development of the fifth and sixth KCR ship until the time of keel laying has reached 30% and is faster than the schedule of March 2019, it shows the readiness of PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) as strategic partner Government, in this case the Ministry of Defence and TNI AL.

This stage of keel laying is important because the age of the vessel will be counted from the first time of installation. The fifth and sixth KCR NAVY has a length of 60 meters, 8.10 meters in width.
